INDIVIDUAL
We receive an overwhelming number of applications, that showcase numerous worthy projects that have the potential to make a significant impact on the lives of many individuals. However, our shortlisting process occasionally results in the dismissal of certain applicants whose submissions lack the necessary personality and fail to convey the unique essence of their charitable endeavours. We are well aware that your charity and the individuals behind it possess extraordinary qualities, so we encourage you to seize this opportunity and demonstrate to us exactly why you and your organization are truly exceptional.
In our search for exceptional projects and charities, we value more than just the basic facts and figures. While the facts and figures are undoubtedly important for assessing the viability and potential of a project, we also recognize the significance of a personal touch and a distinct flavour that sets an application apart from the rest. We want to get to know the people driving the charity, understand their motivations, and witness the passion that fuels their mission.
INTERACTIVE
We love photos and videos, this helps us to picture your practice as a charity, to help visualise the spaces and environments you are running and delivering your amazing work in, and to help us to be part of the experience.
When you share photos and videos with us, you provide a window into your world, giving us a glimpse of the incredible initiatives you undertake and the lives you touch. A well-captured photograph can convey emotions, showcase the vibrant energy of your projects, and highlight the invaluable connections you establish with the communities you serve. It allows us to witness first hand the joy, hope, and transformation that your charity brings to individuals in need.
Moreover, videos offer a dynamic and immersive experience, enabling us to witness the day-to-day operations of your organisation. They allow us to see the dedication and passion that resonates within your team as they carry out their vital work. Through videos, we can hear the stories of those whose lives have been positively impacted by your charity, listen to their voices, and witness their gratitude. It creates a sense of connection and involvement, as if we are present alongside you, sharing in the experiences and witnessing the positive change unfold.
IMPACT
WHO is your work benefitting, how has/would their lives be changed? What do they have to say about your support/the project? Don’t be modest!
It is essential to capture the words and sentiments of those directly impacted by your work. What do they have to say about your support or the project you have undertaken? Their heartfelt testimonials provide a genuine reflection of the difference you have made. Don’t be modest in sharing their words of gratitude, appreciation, and the profound ways in which their lives have been uplifted. These testimonials serve as a testament to the effectiveness of your efforts and inspire others to support your cause.
The voices of beneficiaries offer powerful insights into your work. Their words provide a human perspective, reminding us of the significance of compassion, empathy, and the impact of collective action. These stories also serve as a source of motivation and encouragement for your team and supporters, reaffirming the importance of the work you do and the difference you make in the world.
So, as you present your application or share information about your project, remember to shine a spotlight on the beneficiaries. Give them a platform to express their gratitude, share their stories, and convey the ways in which their lives have been changed. Celebrate their achievements, their growth, and their newfound opportunities. By doing so, you allow us to witness firsthand the positive ripple effects of your work and inspire others to join your cause.
ITINERARY
What’s the timescale for your project? Both in terms of getting it up and running, and to start seeing change and outcomes? Our funding streams are six monthly and so, gauging a clear idea around when things might get moving, or might need some reinforcement helps us to try and help with the best input at the right time.
Understanding the timescale of your project is crucial for us to assess its feasibility and align our support accordingly. We recognise the importance of having a clear understanding of when your project will be up and running and when the anticipated outcomes and changes will start to manifest. This knowledge enables us to provide the most effective support at the right time, aligning with our funding streams and maximising our impact.
The timeline of your project encompasses two significant aspects: the process of getting it up and running and the expected timeframe for witnessing tangible change and outcomes. By elucidating these timelines, you provide us with a comprehensive picture of the stages involved and the anticipated pace of progress.
Firstly, we are interested in knowing the projected timeline for launching and establishing your project. This includes the preparatory stages, such as securing necessary approvals, assembling a capable team, procuring resources, and setting up the infrastructure. Understanding this timeline allows us to gauge when the implementation phase is likely to commence and how we can best support you during the preparatory period.
Secondly, we are eager to comprehend when the anticipated change and outcomes of your project will start to materialise. Whether it is improved access to education, increased healthcare services, enhanced environmental sustainability, or any other objective, understanding the expected timeline allows us to align our funding cycles to provide timely support. Knowing when the outcomes are likely to occur helps us plan for reinforcement, if needed, to ensure that the impact is sustained and the benefits are maximised.
INFORMATION
We appreciate that we may not always be able to grant the full amount of funding requested. However, we are open to providing other valuable resources that can support your project. The more detailed breakdown you provide regarding the costings and the specific areas where the funds will be allocated, the better we can assess how our resources and funds can be utilised to offer the most effective support.
In order for us to make informed decisions and explore alternative means of assistance, it is important that you provide a comprehensive breakdown of the project’s costings and a clear explanation of how the funds will be allocated.
